This is a short article on how to use your phone without the need for the Pure Connect app.
If you do not have the Pure Connect app available to download on your mobile phone or tablet, you will notice that it seems impossible to actually stream your music from your device to your speaker!I myself recently received a Jongo S3X speaker with a new Virgin Media subscription, I would not normally be interested in this type of device, though when it's free it's hard to complain. Upon unboxing I decided to look at the setup guide for my new speaker, when I noticed that I was instructed to install the Pure Connect app, which is only available on IOS and Android devices, which I have neither of. I have a Nokia Lumia 635 or something.... This frustrated me greatly, so I looked into a few applications, which did not work....
Finally, I was looking through the settings on my phone, when I discovered the bluetooth settings as you can see below.
After having done this, my phone began to stream any sound that came from my phone to my speaker, so I decided to experiment.
First of all I went into my music app, played the first thing I saw and it streamed straight from my phone to the speaker! As you can see in the picture below, when I adjust the volume you can actually see stated the word bluetooth, meaning the sound is coming from a bluetooth device.
I then tried with spotify and youtube, and I was happy to see that basically every sound that came from my phone was streamed straight to my speaker!

So basically, if you want to stream any sound from your phone, just plug in your speaker, go to bluetooth settings on your phone and connect to your speaker.
Any sound played on your phone, will stream straight to your phone, no need for any subscriptions!
All you need is bluetooth!
